How to remove stains from outdoor fabrics

Washing curtains and awnings is often mistakenly considered useless work. But if you want to effectively preserve the condition, and especially the colours, of our fabrics, applying specific cleaning and sanitising methods is a good idea.

Some steps

  • If there are stains, before washing you should spray some degreaser onto the stained area and leave it to act for a few minutes.
  • As for the curtains, it is a good idea to soak them in cold water. To avoid mistakes, itis always better to use a specific detergent with both whitening and stain-removing action.
  • For drying, it is best to find a place where they can be hung out vertically, to avoid creasing.
  • Even if these fabrics are white, avoid washing them often with bleach because, if exposed to the sun, they may turn yellow
